The RTP Chinese-American Chorus is a nonprofit, nonpolitical, and nonreligious cultural organization. Its mission is to enrich lives, broaden the cultural horizon for its members, promote culture exchange, enhance the understanding within the community, and provide community service through choral singing and concert performance. Our main goals are to enrich the culture life of local society, to learn traditional Chinese arts and to teach young generations as well.

The chorus was founded in 1997. The first Chorus Master is Mr. Rongqing Wu. The second Chorus Master is Ms. Xianling Zen. The current Chorus Master is Mr. Zhongling Zhu. The chorus consists of four vocal parts: Soprano and Alto for females, Tenor and Base for males. The chorus strives to achieve excellence in choral performance and, at the same time, emphasizes developing individuals musical skills.

The chorus' over 10 years' activities have contributed to our Chinese community and we will continue this tradition.

北卡三角区华人合唱团成立于１９９７年。是一个群众性的非营利演唱团体。我们的宗旨是团聚当地华人歌唱爱好者们，丰富文化生活并教育新一代移民中华传统，一起来为我们的社区服务。

北卡三角区华人合唱团的首届指挥为吴荣清。之后由曾宪灵老师为我团担任指挥。现任指挥为朱忠良老师。我团现有团员约40名，分为男高，女高，男低和女中四个声部。团员们来自三角区不同领域(以中年为主)。历年来，大家都用自己的时间和精力为合唱团作了大量奉献。

我们的歌声也为华人社区贡献了一份力量！

合唱是一种多声部的歌唱艺术，通过训练演唱与提升聆听技巧，不单可以使人感受群体亲切，舒缓紧张的工作压力，还为此给人们以欢乐，培养自己的集体荣誉感和协作精神, 丰富人生色彩。
